Senior Building Control Surveyor

Job description
Working on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has new opportunities for a Senior Surveyor, Surveyor and Assistant Surveyor on a 3 months contract with a possibility of further extension.
Main responsibilities:
- Provide high level, expert professional/technical advice and guidance in Building Control to colleagues, managers, and partner agencies.
- Lead by example in modelling and embedding the client’s values and behaviours, working collaboratively with colleagues, partners and other stakeholders to help build a sustainable highly effective organisation and develop our reputation as a successful client delivering great value for its
- Responsible for advising the public on building control matters and processing applications under statutory Building
- Carrying out inspections to achieve statutory compliance.
Requirements:
- Significant experience in building control (Fire and structures)
- Significant stakeholder liaison experience
- Be able to demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the Building Regulations in respect of all projects up to and including those which are large complex
- Familiarity with IT and computer systems
- Ability to identify and resolve problems, with a good standard of literacy and numeracy.
- Knowledge of statutory compliance and building control regulations
- Building or Planning related Degree or other approved qualifications
- Full Membership of any of the following: RICS, ICE, IStructE, CABE, CIOB or similar approved
