We provide outstanding training and are continuously improving to ensure all our Autism Practitioners are supported and have the skills to deliver a quality service. This post is a good opportunity for those with a generic support worker experience to specialise. Scottish Autism is dedicated to enabling autistic people to lead happy, healthy and fulfilling lives. We believe in the power of relationships to transform the lives of the people we support. We help build a more caring, compassionate, and inclusive Scotland, relationship by relationship. Our people work in teams, supporting each other through the challenges and triumphs that happen every day. Our organisation is our people, and the human qualities they bring to their roles. About the job: We are recruiting Nightshift Autism Practitioners to join our team. On a day-to-day basis, our Autism Practitioners enable autistic people to complete all activities of daily living, which includes personal care and household chores. We work to an agreed plan for each individual, monitoring progress and collaborating to amend the plan when appropriate. It is sometimes demanding but always emotionally rewarding work, and for many of our staff, the best job possible. Our leadership culture is about creating a positive, constructive, and supportive environment for the people we support, and our staff whom they depend on. About You: It is not necessary to have experience of working within social care. What is more important is that you share our values and are looking to work in a job where they can be put into practice. Are you willing to learn and develop into the role, to build both your personal and professional qualities as you do? We provide outstanding training and ensure all our Support Workers are supported and have the skills to deliver a quality service. We encourage and welcome applications from people with lived experience of autism. Scottish Autism offers you: Staff wellbeing is priority, and we strive to ensure all colleagues feel valued and supported at work. We provide an excellent benefits package which includes a competitive salary and a personalised learning pathway for all. We keep it simple with 3 pay points. You progress at your pace as you develop. We benchmark regularly to ensure the rates are competitive. - 32 days holiday pro rata (which increases with your length of service)Job tags
