We are looking for a Carrier Specialist to join our committed team at our Marston Gate site (MK43 0YL) to develop and manage the Carrier Network within the Yusen Logistics Healthcare Control Tower (with the opportunity to work remotely up to 3 days per week – subject to business requirements).

Salary of £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (depending on experience) and the shift times for this role are 08:30 - 17:00 Monday - Friday.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support the sustainable supply-chain mission led by Carrier Management.
• Conduct frequent formal carrier reviews remotely (and, when required: Face to Face), using an agile and structured approach.
• Ensure effective supply chain management tools are in place for key strategic suppliers across both PET and ESC Networks.
• Develop Supplier SLAs and ensure adherence to contractual obligations via KPI implementation and management.
• Support contract renewals and renegotiations.
• Ensure carriers deliver on expectations for quality, service and cost.
• Demonstrate carrier KPI adherence via the production and delivery of KPI packs across both PET and ESC Networks
• Initial contact point for all carrier related issues.
• Lead new carrier implementation projects.
• Be a lead on eSourcing based events using Yusen's ‘Midas’ Platform to facilitate RFI/RFQ/RFx requirements as well as Quick-Quote enquiries.
• Ensure all quality and compliance requirements are upheld by carrier partners.
• Support and guide Business Analyst and Market Insights by providing information and input as required.
• Assist in development of carrier contracts and service level agreements.

Team Work:
• Support central audit team in preparation for carrier audits and follow up for CAPAs.
• Work closely with internal & external stakeholders to support the Network Procurement Manager and ESC Carrier Manager in developing the carrier sourcing strategy.
• Support any change projects.
• Participate in Procurement sourcing activities, including market tenders, benchmarking and new supplier identification.

Key Requirements:
• Extensive European road freight experience is essential.
• Experience in managing carriers and creating carriers strategy.
• Supplier Relationship Management (Experience of managing an E-Sourcing Platform would be an advantage).
• Familiar with a transport carrier and/or non-asset EU control tower operational environment.
• In-depth understanding of different and complex distribution networks leading to the ability to identify gaps, root causes and challenges for improvement (Quality, Service) preferably in a 3/4PL
pharmaceutical environment.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to build rapport on all levels.
• Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
• Solid Data analysis skills (Excel to Pivot/report standard)
• Related degree or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
• Good working knowledge of the Healthcare sector, suppliers and standards.
• Strong understanding of procurement principles and levers.
