Financial Controller
Manchester City Centre
£45,000 to £55,000 dependant on experience.
Monday to Friday – 36.25 hours across a flexible working environment.
Office based for 40% of the month, 60% WFH (full time office based whilst in probation)
This is a great opportunity to join a financial planning and investment company whose whole ethos centres around ethical and sustainable investing. They are seeking a fully qualified, hands-on, Financial Controller (Fully qualified ACCA, CIMA, or ACA) with experience in Wealth Management and/or Investment Management. The role involves contributing to the overall success of the company, ensuring its ongoing viability, and securing its financial future. You will also line manage a team of 5 and deputise for the Head of Finance. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, is actively involved in the day-to-day operations and is interested in taking a step into leadership. The role will involve: - Oversee and contribute to the preparation of relevant, accurate and timely, monthly management accounts.
- Ensure all reporting requirements are met, whether statutory or regulatory:
- Review and upload regulatory returns to the FCA’s RegData system.
- Review and submit FCA and ONS surveys or other ad-hoc requests.
- Review and submission of (partially exempt) VAT returns.
- Oversight of and assisting with the preparation of annual budgets and HY reforecasts, including cash flows and FCA requirement considerations.
- Scenario modelling for the preparation of the ICARA and liquidity risk management frameworks.
- Point of contact for the Group’s auditors, insurance brokers, etc.
- Supervise and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support in their day-to-day activities.
- Other ad-hoc projects which may arise as directed by the Head of Finance.
