First City Recruitment

Job description

Overview

We have a new opportunity available for an Audience Executive, based in Chelmsford. You will be working for a successful company established in 2009, within the events industry. You will be working for a company who specialise in organising global events for the Armed Forces. They have grown to become one of the leading providers of intelligence, insight, and debate for the global defence community. Their events are chaired by leading figures from the Army and Navy, who offer a unique insight into how global armed forces are addressing the challenges and evolving threats in the ever-changing international arena.

As the Audience Executive, you will be working within the Audience Team. Their events are all about people, and they are obsessed with bringing together a more diverse and senior-level audience than any other event in their market. As the Audience Executive within the Audience Team, you will be at the heart of all that they do, and you will play a critical role in the success of their events. This is a fast-paced team who enjoy the challenge of researching, networking, and holding daily conversations with some of the world’s most decorated and senior military figures. They are looking for someone who has a curious mind and is not afraid to ask questions. This is a sales phone-based role where you will be conducting international calls with the goal of confirming senior ranking services personnel to attend their events free of charge as a VIP.

This opportunity offers a guaranteed basic salary of £24’000, plus £12’000 commission (on target) which is uncapped once you exceed your target. Your benefits will include 28 days holiday (inclusive of public holidays) with an additional two-week annual leave break at Christmas, regular team socials and events, you will be working in a professional working environment with full support and training. They offer excellent progression, with a legacy of promoting from within. The working hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm. You will attend around four global events a year, each for around 2-4 days, which is fully paid for. Due to this you will need a valid passport allowing you to travel internationally.

To be considered for this opportunity you need to be driven, motivated, enthusiastic, and confident to work to sales targets. You will also need to have an extremely clear and professional telephone manner, with confidence to speak to senior ranking personnel within the Armed Forces.

In terms of experience required, there is some flexibility. They are open to someone who has worked in sales in an office based work environment, or to a graduate who wants to work in sales, or to ex-military personnel who are seeking a different career path.

In addition to your experience, you will need to have a passion to work alongside the Armed Forces. If you have any exposure to the Armed Forces such as the Army, Navy, Royal Air Force or Cadets (either yourself, your friends, or your family) it would be highly beneficial, but this is not essential.

This really is a rare and wonderful opportunity, we look forward to hearing from you.
