CLINICAL PRACTICE EDUCATOR (Operating Theatres – Anaesthetics & Recovery) RN/ODP (Band 6) Are you looking for a new challenge? Do you have extensive proven experience in the operating theatre department in anaesthetics or recovery, with adults and children? Do you have a passion for teaching and developing others to deliver excellent patient care? The West Wing operating theatre department is looking for two experienced, passionate & dedicated Nurses/ODPs to join the team as Clinical Practice Educators(CPE). These two roles will compliment our existing Education team with expertise in their clinical area of practice, one CPE for Anaesthetics & one CPE Recovery. TheWest Wing Operating Theatre Department(Oxford) is a 14-theatre unit where routine and emergency surgery takes place. Specialties include, E.N.T., Ophthalmology, Plastics, Maxfacs surgery, Neurosurgery, Paediatric – Orthopaedics & General. Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trustis one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the country. We are looking for two experienced and dynamic individuals with a keen interest in education in the clinical environment. Excellent inter-personal skills are essential, with an exceptional track record in clinical practice, inter-professional working and the ability to teach and motivate others. A positive, flexible style and approach is necessary, and you must be an effective team player. As a Clinical Practice Educator your main role will be the education of staff and students in the clinical area. You are required to have excellent communication, influencing and leadership skills. You will be encouraged and supported to further develop using the educational and experiential learning opportunities available. We have a comprehensive approach to the development of all grades of staff within theatres, to facilitate career development and progression. Please note that these roles involve working shifts.
