Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) 
Location: Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire
Salary: £76 – £95 per day  
Start Date: April 2024  

 
GSL Education are seeking a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to work within a reputable school in Hull, starting from April 2024. Working as a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant is a unique opportunity, supporting students within the classroom, as well as leading lessons.
This is a mixed position, working alongside class teachers to ensure the delivery of lessons in accordance with individual learning plans, and following pre-planned lessons in the absence of class teachers.
 
Ideal HLTA requirements:  

• Building relationships and establishing rapport with young people aged between 4 and 19 years old.
• A passion to working with young people to ensure barriers to learning are overcome.
• Working with class teachers, other support staff and the senior leadership team to provide the best educational, emotional, and social support that you can.
• Arrive at the school allowing sufficient time to make any necessary preparations before the arrival of the children 
• Confident in the delivery of pre-planned lessons and interventions.
• Have a pleasant personality which will assist with the development of the relationships between parents, children and other members of staff 
• The ability to manage behaviour in-line with school policy.
