Working Hours

07:30 – 1600, Monday to Friday 3pm finish Friday

Purpose of the role
As a Farm Worker, you will be responsible for the bird welfare of the flock. This is an ideal opportunity to advance a career within our Agriculture operations at our Hereford breeder laying site.

Key responsibilities will include: 
• Working in poultry houses, i.e. walking the sheds, laying shavings, handling chickens 
• Collecting, screening and packing eggs onto trays, including completion of paperwork
• Looking after bird welfare including feeding
• General farm duties such as ground maintenance including use of equipment 

What you’llneed to be successful:

• Good level of English and basic numeracy skills
• The ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively.
• Good attention to detail and a flexible attitude to tasks
• Experience within a production/manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
