Job description

A newly created Communications Manager role for an organisation that has a lot to talk about.

You’ll be looking for that next role where you can drive the communication strategy across a group of companies. Will have an understanding how to effectively communicate with all employees around their employee engagement programmes, corporate responsibility, DEI and business change programmes.

The business is a retail business that started as a modest retailer. Always profitable, financially strong and physical growth has always been steady. Following a change in the high street, they positioned themselves to pick up where others had struggled. They have always been a step ahead with e-commerce and work in close partnership with that big—online-company we all use! So when the crowds shop from home they were also just a click away.

In addition they have now partnered with several large supermarket chains as a procurement agent, and have recently become a partner with one of them.

With all the growth within the business there has also be an increase in headcount, and as a result numerous change projects happening and planned. These all need to be communicated.

You will be responsible for their communications strategy, and will have the full support of the senior leadership team and the CEO and CPO. They have a number of resources that you can already tap into but will be expanding on this through the most effective channels that you feel will be best suited.

You will have demonstrable skills and experience within internal communications and will be looking for that next role where you can now manage this across an organisation. You will be comfortable rolling out communication strategies regarding their business plans, change programmes, corporate social responsibility, employee engagement programmes and DEI.

The culture is informal, open and progressive. The team is friendly, engaging and don’t hide behind corporate jargon.

A straightforward recruitment process: first stage a Teams call, followed by a face to face that will allow to present on your approach to internal communications.

They operate 3 days in the office 2 from home.

May also consider part-time.

Salary range is £40,000 – £50,000, plus bonus scheme.
