Job description
This is a senior role within the organisation and therefore autonomy with regards to establishing key projects and working on own initiative is expected. As well as standard HR duties such as ER case work and recruitment and onboarding, you will work to implement solutions to improve the day to day working environment, bringing all members of the team together as well as leading the People Team. You will: Key Responsibilities 1. Manage safeguarding concerns appropriate to your role and level of training including ensuring all safer recruitment practices are adhered too 2. Develop our recruitment processes to attract the best candidates for all roles ensuring compliance with safer recruitment practices 3. Work with colleagues to develop and implement outstanding onboarding processes 4. Develop and embed happy workplace principles and ensure staff are supported and empowered to fulfil their roles 5. Develop and deliver an ongoing support programme for building Confident Managers linked to Bevan values 6. Help to embed Bevan values across the organisation including supporting the staff awards scheme 7. Help to develop key people strategies, for example, becoming a Real Living Wage employer 8. Work with colleagues to build a grow our own programme for all key posts, investing in staff via schemes such as apprenticeships 9. Work in a co-produced way with staff to develop and implement policies 10. Enable staff to complete and understand mandatory training 11. Oversee the use of the HR and Training databases 12. Work with staff teams to develop and implement wellbeing policies and procedures 13. Work with colleagues to implement a coaching model 14. Support the embedding of organisation culture and values 15. Support the Exec and Leadership Team to act on staff feedback gained through our ongoing survey results 16. Liaise with our external HR partner to address HR issues that arise 17. To work in the best interests of our Bevan People (staff and customers) 18. To support managers with recruitment including advertising and interviewing 19. To ensure all new colleagues receive a great induction and oversee and deliver the organisational induction 20. To support and coach managers with a range of ER related cases 21. To oversee our volunteer program including recruitment, onboarding and ongoing support of our volunteers 22. To proactively manage the people team including regular 121s, support and coaching and support in their administration workload where necessary 23. To review, update and deliver on our people plan 24. Embed a employee owned working model
