Job description
Mechanical / Maintenance Technician: My client is a key player within the UK Waste Management and Recycling arena with a strong presence in the industry.
SALARY: £43,455 including shift allowance plus pension, bonus and company benefits
This position is on a 4 on 4 off shift rotation days and nights
LOCATION: Dartford
PREVIOUS TITLES (not exhaustive): Mechanical Engineer, Plant Fitter, Maintenance Technician, Fitter, Service Engineer
Previous Industries: Heavy Industry, Quarry, Construction, Recycling, Industrial Services, Demolition, Aggregates, Mining, Landfill, Muckaway, MRF, Waste Management, or any industry involving large static or mobile plant equipment
ROLE – Mechanical Engineer – Maintenance Technician
You will undertake servicing and breakdown repairs to equipment, including: conveyor systems, hydraulics, compressors, pumps, valves, pneumatics, shredders etc.
You will strive to optimise performance, utilisation and availability.
You will adhere to compliance of company policy.
EXPERIENCE – Mechanical Engineer – Plant Fitter / Maintenance Technician
Experience with hydraulics, pumps, compressors would be ideal.
Successful candidate ideally will have completed a recognised electrical Engineering / Mechanical / general Engineering apprenticeship, or hold an appropriate qualification (City and Guilds, NVQ, ONC, HNC, HND or Degree), or in a relevant discipline.
Any electrical / maintenance experience is an advantage.
Health and safety qualifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH beneficial.
Previous Industries: Waste Management, Heavy Industry, Quarry, Construction, Recycling, Industrial Services, Demolition, Aggregates, Mining, Landfill, Muckaway, MRF, Waste Management or any industry involving large static or mobile plant equipment.
