Here's what your role as an apprentice will involve:
- Developing your skills in a wide range of exciting projects
- Learning and using relevant design software
- Being involved in client meetings and assisting in building key client relationships
- You'll get to understand and learn digital skills, to help us harness technology in new ways
- Your mentors will support you as you study towards nationally recognised qualifications and accreditation
- You'll have dedicated time to spend at college or university to focus on your studies
The training you will be getting The apprenticeship provides a broad skills base, making our graduates eligible for work in areas including sustainable construction, structural integrity, geotechnics (engineering behaviour of earth materials), materials, tunnelling, marine and coastal engineering, water, waste management, flood management, transportation and power.
You'll study theory and practice relating to the many diverse areas of civil engineering. You'll have an active role in a blend of lectures combined with laboratory, workshop and computer-based sessions.
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship This is a Level 6 Apprenticeship. On completion the apprentice will have fully satisfied the requirements for registration as an Incorporated Engineer by the relevant professional engineering institution
Successful apprentices will gain a BSc or BEng civil engineering degree which is accredited by the Joint Board of Moderators.
The Civil Engineering Apprenticeship includes a degree qualification in Civil Engineering BEng (Hons) and a qualification leading towards Chartered Civil Engineer status.
