Job description
Our client, a leading specialist in the design, build, financing, and operation of EV solar car parks is currently hiring a Project Development Engineer. The successful candidate will liaise with customers and contractors, securing optimum project costs and some site delivery work.
The Project Development Engineer will:
Manage, encourage & maximise value of subcontractors and other resources.
Negotiate with sub/contractors, managing project budgets and minimising project costs.
Work with customers, surveying/assessing their sites’ suitability and risks, planning project layouts and service supplies to provide customers’ required benefits at the lowest practical installation costs.
Plan the deployments of the award winning Papilio3 pop-up solar car park across the UK.
Produce accurate and detailed supporting project documentation.
The Project Development Engineer will have:
BSc in Civil Engineering with 5-10 years’ experience.
Experience of basic site planning, site assessment, developing site layouts, scaling, and marking out plans.
Experience of commercial three-phase electrical site installations including sizing supplies and components, civils/trenching, concreting, cabling, ducting, and connections.
Experience securing quotes, negotiating pricing, and managing site contractors/sub-contractors.
Exemplary oral & written communication skills.
