About Our Client
Working on an initial 6-month contract, the successful applicant will join an NHS Trust based in Salisbury.
Job Description
The key responsibilities of the Programme Manager include:
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support for all staff in the Screening Programme team, including direct line management responsibilities.
- Find, plan and organise clinic locations directly liaising with GP surgeries and Community hospitals, and other suitable venues.
- Manage all Screening Programme equipment ensuring maintenance contracts are in place.
- Update and maintain the programmes' databases. Responsible for inputting and amending data accurately and securely.
- Act as the Information Asset Administrator for the Screening Programme IT system (currently Smart).
- Responsible for monitoring the process in relation to the registering of all new patients and compliance against national standards.
- Responsible for the establishment and development of administrative policies and procedures in conjunction with the administration team leader.
- Manage changes to the development of the patient pathway from an administrative perspective ensuring all paperwork and relevant information is provided in a timely and efficient manner.
- Attend National, Regional and Team Meetings as required to address issues and develop the service, taking notes for these meetings when appropriate.
- Attend public health events with members of the screening team to promote the screening service.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Programme Manager:
- Excellent knowledge of people management
- Knowledge of Trust policies and procedures.
- An understanding of data protection and information governance.
- Experience of working with multiple organisations, and with local partners to deliver specific targets and improve services for patients.
- Experience of managing a team of staff to deliver excellent customer service.
- Experience of working under pressure with a proven ability to prioritise own and other's workloads effectively to meet tight deadlines and manage conflicting priorities
- Experience in recruitment, development, and retention of staff procedures.
- Experience of delivering and leading change to meet service need.
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel
