Parkland Primary School South Wigston are looking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Wrap Around Care Manager. The successful candidate will be committed to providing inspirational and motivational environment for children afterschool provision. First and foremost, we are seeking an inspiring, committed leader and team player.

We will provide opportunities for our children to play, explore and learn, recognising their fundamental need to be physically active, to be cared for and to be nurtured according to the individual child's needs.

You will provide a safe and secure environment for the children in your care to explore, grow and have FUN!

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• To fulfil the expectations of practice as set out in the Discovery Wrap Around Care Framework in all areas. Positive Relationships, Enabling Environments, Healthy Minds and Bodies, Safe Systems.
• To prepare, maintain and monitor a safe and secure environment for the children; to monitor resources and ensure adequate stock in an appropriate condition.
• To liaise with parents and carers to ensure that the welfare, cultural and development needs.
• To plan and implement activities that engage children's interest in learning.
• To assess and record children's personal, social, emotional, physical and intellectual development.
• To require a high standard of behaviour, encouraging children to develop relationships with others and to recognise and deal with their emotions; to establish, develop, monitor and maintain positive relationships with children.

We are looking for someone who has:

• NVQ3 or equivalent in Childcare and experience of working with children.
  
• Ability to lead a team of adults and staff management.
  
• Ability to provide a safe environment, ensuring that the needs of the young people are met at all times.
  
• Good interpersonal skills and an effective communicator.
