Do you have user interface experience, and are you seeking a new job? Skillsearch is helping a gaming studio find a Lead User Interface Programmer, and the remote role comes with an attractive salary and benefits package. Employees can work remotely (from Canada only).
As a Lead UI Programmer, you will be implementing and maintaining user interface features in one or more AAA titles. This may involve working with our proprietary Red Engine or in Unreal Engine 5. You will cooperate with artists, designers and with other programmers.
If you were already in this Lead UI Developer role, here are some of the areas you would have been working in this week:
- Maintenance and optimisation of existing systems
- Creating new features for the user interface framework
- Implementing tools for UI artists and designers
- Tracking and fixing bugs in-game user interface and user interface frameworks.
To apply for this Lead UI Programmer role, you will need knowledge of C++ coding principles and practices with at least four years of professional experience. You will also require the following:
- Knowledge of user interface design patterns
- Proficiency in algorithms and code architecture
- Debugging and optimisation skills
- Understanding player needs in terms of the user interface of modern video games.
