Buyer - Responsibilities include:

• Managing the day-to-day procurement of potatoes, vegetables and ingredients
• Organisation and involvement with the negotiation of contracts
• Building strong long-term partnerships with our suppliers
• Completing purchase orders and grower returns in an accurate and timely manner
• Communicating effectively to the team about any upcoming issues
• Joining daily stock calls and managing orders with suppliers on a daily basis
• Working with the onsite Planner to ensure sufficient stock
• Providing suppliers with 3 weeks forecast
• Producing a supplier scorecard
• Yield and pack out analysis
• Weekly communication with suppliers to discuss performance, invoicing and re-charges

Buyer - Knowledge, Skills and Experience Desired:

• Previous experience of working in a procurement role
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to effectively build relationships with suppliers
• Ability to present information in clear and informative ways
• Confident Microsoft Office skills
• Self starting attitude
• Team player

Schedule- Monday to Friday 08:30 - 17:00 with flexibility
