We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic SEN teaching assistant ready to provide support to young children in a classroom environment spanning from KS1 to KS4. Your responsibilities will include assisting children aged 5-16, with working hours from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. The school is conveniently located close to Leeds city centre. Roles & Responsibilities:
Make learning fun and interactive.
Facilitate children's learning in both 1:1 and small groups.
Share information and maintain professional communication with the class teacher.
Demonstrate patience, empathy, and effective communication skills when working with children.
Adapt teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and individual needs.
Apply knowledge of behaviour management techniques and strategies for promoting positive behaviour.
Requirements:
Experience and skills in working with pupils with a wide range of Special Educational Needs, implementing strategies to ensure engaging and inclusive learning.
High expectations, commitment, and enthusiasm for both the personal and educational development of all pupils.
An Enhanced DBS check or readiness to acquire one through Randstad.
Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively within a team.
Commitment to safeguarding children.
Eligibility to work in the UK (No sponsorship provided).
