Teacher of Girls' PE

We are flexible and will consider full time or part-time to suit your needs.

We are excited to be recruiting for the post of Teacher of Girls’ PE join us at our forward thinking and positive school at Weavers Academy, Wellingborough.

This is an exciting time to be joining the PE Area, the ideal applicant would be able to:-

• To contribute to raising standards of student attainment and to ensure outstanding progress in Girls’ PE.
• To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a teacher/form tutor.
• To facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
• To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students studying PE.

Outside of this the school runs an extensive Elective Co-Curricular programme for pupils. Staff are given a unique opportunity at Weavers to have an hour each week of curriculum time to teach pupils about a passion of theirs. These can range from Lighting Design, Chess, Calligraphy, Rock Climbing to Board games. This really is a unique programme that allows you to develop your passions and encourage others, building relationships with pupils outside of formal lessons.

There is also an opportunity for staff sport with an evening each week for staff to socialise and take part in some health and fitness activities, making staff well-being at the heart of what Weavers do.
