Job description
Ensure a high standard of technical and clinical competence Perform analyse and report all routine lung function investigations within Respiratory Physiology Laboratory including Spirometry, Diffusion Studies, Lung Volume Measurements by Plethysmography and Nitrogen Washout Techniques, 6 Minute Shuttle Walk Tests , Impulse Oscillometry, Feno and Respiratory Muscle Pressure tests to required National /Departmental standard. Perform analyse and report Overnight Oximetry Test Ensure calibration and quality control of equipment is carried out for all procedures. Assist and support the Lead Respiratory Physiologist in the safe effective management of the department including management of personnel, facilities and associated systems and processes. Act as a role model, presenting a positive image of self, team and the organisation Actively try to resolve issues and complaints at local level and then report the outcome to line manager. Communicate all relevant information to the multidisciplinary team internally and with external organisations as required, to ensure seamless care To participate in education and training of junior staff. Actively participate in research studies.
