Inspired Selections is looking for a retail Optical Assistant to join M&S Opticians in Warrington (M&S Gemini)- a brand new practice opening in April 2024. They currently have 38 stores UK and are growing!
M&S Opticians can provide you with all the training and support that you need to be very successful. However, experience in a customer-facing environment with a passion for creating a unique customer experience is essential. You must have a minimum of 6 months optics experience to apply for this role!
Optical Assistant PositionThe beauty of an Optical Assistant role is that no two days are ever the same. As an Optical Assistant, you’ll need the ability to enthuse every customer and converse confidently on anything from a new pair of glasses to their specialist hearing service.
They are looking for someone keen to help, grow, and develop a new practice and be prepared to go above and beyond for patients and colleagues. You must have a real passion for optics with a bubbly and exciting personality.
Responsibilities of the Optical AssistantThe role will entail dispensing spectacles to all levels, conducting pre-screen tests and contact lens teaches. You will also be required to carry out frame styling and give patients advice on their options. Reception duties and general admin will also be a part of the role and help with the smooth running of the practice. It’s essential you have a customer-focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.
Compensation for the Optical AssistantFor your efforts, a competitive salary is on offer plus a team bonus. You will need to be flexible to work weekends. Shifts tend to vary with early shifts from 8:30 am and lates until 7pm (this will depend on the business needs). Full-time is 37.5 hours per week, part-time hours are available.
You will also have the opportunity to receive some further training and join a professional team in a fun and relaxed environment in Warrington.
