Sales Manager - Marine Equipment Division

We are currently looking for a Sales Manager for our Marine Equipment Division.

We are currently looking for a Sales Manager for our Marine Equipment Division.

The Marine Equipment Division was set up in 2018 as our first step in establishing a portfolio of brands with the vision of becoming a leading distributor in the marine equipment and aftermarket sector.  Since 2018, the product lineup has grown substantially; Talamex, International Paints, Guidi, Barton and Glomex are just a few brands that comprise the extensive Barrus Marine Equipment portfolio.    

Responsibilities include:

• Complete coordination and day-to-day management of this very successful Sales Division - working with direct reports across sales, service and purchasing to achieve monthly sales objectives and yearly targets
• Sales forecasting, stock management, budgets and P&L responsibilities
• Organic growth of business through existing and new customers and product portfolio
• Field sales support
• Liaising ‘cross divisionally’ with sales teams to ensure all opportunities are maximised throughout Barrus’ broad customer base
• Working with the Marketing Team to ensure sales activities are supported across all channels
• Maintaining and developing relationships with all major suppliers and key customers
• Senior Leadership Team reporting.   

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years experience in sales management. 

Applicants must be customer-orientated, self-motivated, and strong team builders with the aptitude for working under pressure in a structured, efficient manner. 

A full driving licence is essential.  The successful candidate is expected to dedicate their time between the Sales Office, supporting the field sales team, and visiting customers.
