Are you a dynamic, engaging sales professional with a passion for fitness and a track record of successful business development in the gym membership sales space?
In order to drive the next phase of our client's market share growth, a numbers driven Membership Sales Consultant is required to identify, develop and convert new commercial opportunities for a highly regarded gym and boutique strength and fitness facility that prides themselves on helping their clients achieve their fitness and lifestyle goals.
Splitting their time between field, office and home working, the successful candidate will take responsibility for generating new business and increasing membership sales to individual members and businesses in the local area.
The ideal candidate will, therefore, have previous successful experience in a similar membership sales role, ideally within the lifestyle, health or fitness sectors. A naturally consultative and educated approach towards generating and converting a renewable sales pipeline is required alongside strong self-motivation and a positive, high-energy attitude.
Key Responsibilities - Generate new business and increase membership sales to individual members and businesses in the Southwest London area.
- Conduct outbound sales activities, including cold calling, email campaigns, and other sales activities to drive new membership sales.
- Provide prospective members with detailed information about our gym and fitness facility, including membership options, pricing, and benefits.
- Meet with prospective members to conduct facility tours, explain membership options, and close membership sales.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with existing members to increase member retention and referral business.
- Attend networking events and other community events to build relationships and promote our gym and fitness facility to the community.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities and member information in our CRM system.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop sales materials and campaigns to drive membership sales.
Skills & Experience
- Proven track record of success in sales, preferably in the fitness or health industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with prospective and existing members.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of initiative and a results-driven approach.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with CRM systems.
- Knowledge and passion for fitness and health is a plus.
- Knowledge and understanding of local business community an advantage.
