Position: Nursery Manager
Location: Thornton Heath, Croydon.
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Hours: Full-time, 30 hours per week/Part time .

We are a well-established childcare service provider committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment for children. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Manager with a strong background in Special Educational Needs (SEN) to join our team.
Job Description:
As a Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care and education are maintained. Your primary focus will be on providing support and guidance to our staff, creating a safe and stimulating environment for children, and building strong relationships with parents and external agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management: Lead and manage a team of nursery staff, providing guidance, support, and training as needed. Ensure the nursery operates in line with regulatory requirements and best practices.
Special Educational Needs (SEN): Have a comprehensive understanding of SEN and the ability to support children with additional needs. Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for children with SEN, working closely with parents and external agencies.
Curriculum Development: Oversee the development and implementation of a curriculum that meets the individual needs of all children, including those with SEN. Ensure the curriculum is engaging, inclusive, and promotes learning and development.
Safeguarding: Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the nursery, implementing robust safeguarding policies and procedures. Act as the designated safeguarding lead (DSL) for the nursery.
Parental Engagement: Build strong relationships with parents, providing regular updates on their child’s progress and involving them in their child’s learning journey. Act as a point of contact for parents, addressing any concerns or queries they may have.
Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in early years education and SEN, attending relevant training and conferences. Encourage and support the professional development of nursery staff.
Requirements:
Level 3 or above qualification in Early Years Education (e.g., NVQ Level 3, CACHE Level 3 Diploma, or equivalent).
