Job description
Main Area of Responsibility:
- To effectively and efficiently manage the operation of the Night Team
- To oversee all staff on site across all departments on duty during the Night shift
- To co-ordinate and liaise with other departments in setting up for up coming business
- To effectively plan rotas, timesheets, lieu time and holidays
- To effectively monitor, train and record any training needs within the department
- To be conversant in the hotel’s disciplinary procedures and other relevant personnel procedures
- To be conversant with all Front Office Systems
- To ensure a high standard of hospitality and service is offered by the Nights Team
- To ensure three nightly security control checks are carried out and any incidents reported
- To obtain a nightly handover from the late Duty Manager and reception
- To handover to early Duty Manager
- To deal with customers queries efficiently and in a professional manner
- To oversee the audit function for the hotel inline with the hotel’s financial policy
- To ensure all early morning calls are entered onto the Visual One system
- All early checkouts to be handled efficiently
- To provide any financial or statistical information as and when required by relevant departments
- To be aware of peak times of business and liaise with relevant departments any important information that may be needed by others
- To effectively resolve and report any customer complaints in line with the hotel policy
- To report all Maintenance issues as and when they arise
- To report all Health and Safety issues as and when they arise
- To list all relevant issues in the Duty Managers handover on nightly basis
- To adhere to the Hotel & Departmental SOPs
- To attend all training as and when required
- To assist with the induction and training of all new team members
- To be fully conversant with and adhere to Hotel Fire Procedures, Health & Safety Policy, Licensing Laws and all other legal requirements in your role
- To take on any other reasonable duties or carry out requests necessary to ensure we deliver the highest standards of service in this hotel
- To ensure Total Confidentiality is observed in the execution of your duties
Requirements:
Must have a minimum of 1 year night management in a hotel and front office management experience.
Salary:
£28,000 - £32,000 per annum.

Full time.
