Strong Group are working with an prestigious sub-contractor who are looking to add an experienced & motivated Joinery Quantity Surveyor to their established commercial team to work across the London and South East area.

Do you have Carpentry or Joinery experienced as a Quantity Surveyor?
Have you previously worked for a Sub-Contractor?

Title: Joinery Quantity Surveyor Salary : £50K – £100K (DOE)
Location : Hertfordshire Office/ Site Based
Start Date : ASAP

About the Joinery Quantity Surveyor Role

A great opportunity for an experienced Quantity surveyor with Joinery/ Carpentry experience to work within a driven environment, hungry for success. You’ll be responsible for overseeing residential & commercial projects, working in tandem with the commercial & joinery teams. Adhere and engage with the Quality Management system and other company procedures as appropriate.

• Sub-Contractor Management
• Client facing
• Contractually aware

The successful Quantity Surveyor will be expected to complete cost and value analysis, provide financial forecasts and manage client’s requirements whilst completing accurate site valuations and contract variations, as necessary. You’ll need to be an efficient operator and have a consistent track record of effective cost management of developments with a strong eye for detail and be proven to deliver work to a high standard.

Joinery Quantity Surveyor Requirements :

• Experience in joinery either from a trade background or in a current Quantity Surveying position.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor
• Previous Quantity Surveying experience for a Sub-Contractor
• Must have technical knowledge of joinery components, finishes and manufacturing techniques.
• Have the ability to identify why client designed joinery will not work as drawn.
• History and track record with settling final accounts.
• Communicates clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
• Adaptable and able to identify work priorities and manage own workload, able to change with business needs.
