Location: Liverpool John Moores University International Study Centre
Contract : Full-time (37.5 hours per week), Permanent
Salary: up to£43,429.88 per annum (DOE)

Reporting to the Head of Centre, the Head of English and Academic Skills will lead a team of English tutors, ensuring that all English and Academic Skills modules across all courses and programmes are delivered to agreed standards, follow the agreed curriculum, and utilise agreed assessment modes, resulting in the best possible outcomes for students and the best possible student experience. The Head of English will also manage the delivery of modules and lead on teaching, learning and assessment initiatives in the Centre to embed good practice in language development and academic skills within both Academic English Skills and subject module delivery.
NB: The term ‘Academic Skills’ may apply to both the Study Group Academic English Skills module and any modules that include academic/research project activities.
