Job description

Manpower has an exciting opportunity for a Service and Repair Technician to join our Client based in Portsmouth. Based on an initial 6-month fixed term contract the successful candidate will be responsible for the support, maintenance and production of equipment to maximise manufacturing availability.

This is a varied role and some day to day responsibilities will include:

• Promptly identify the root cause of equipment failure and implement subsequent repair
• Managing existing planned maintenance, performing tasks to a pre-determined schedule
• Managing gas regulator servicing and repair
• Ensuring sufficient spares are available to provide adequate response time regarding component failure
• Writing technical documents to defined procedures, including cell maintenance instructions

The ideal candidate will have a sound engineering background with demonstratable ability be computer literate and have an electrical installation qualification to a minimum of the 17th edition.
