Job description

We are currently looking for a tenacious and dependable Operations Manager to join our client, a leading fitout and refurbishment company specialising in education and FF&E (Fitted Furniture and Equipment) to Main Contractors from a newly refurbished head office in Colchester.

This is a new role created to join the Management Team in ensuring the operations as well as all projects run smoothly on a day-to-day basis and will be key in helping the business meet its ambitious growth targets. If you have significant experience in a fast-paced Operations role having worked with Main Contractors and enjoy working in a fast-paced, energetic team environment, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role
The company provide educational establishments with complete turn-key design, refurbishment and FF&E packages to clients nationwide. Your role would combine operations management with taking overall responsibility for the delivery of all projects. Key responsibilities will include…
- Planning, resourcing and monitoring the day-to-day running of business to ensure smooth operations
- Carry out Operations Team meetings to ensure standards are being maintained and deadlines are being met
- Manage all personnel within the Operations/Delivery team, manage work schedules and carry out 121 review meetings regularly and provide constant constructive feedback
- Regularly evaluate the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements
- Check & review all contracts to protect the legal position of the company from undertaking unfair or damaging projects

You will be a results-driven, hard-working and tenacious Ops Manager with working within fit-out and/or Main Contractor space, experienced in the successful management of individuals and teams plus a strong working knowledge of performance and operations metrics. Key attributes will include…
