Job description


We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, conscientious, self-motivated Inventory Officer to work as part of our Inventory Management Team within our Theatre stores at Northumbria Speciality Emergency Care Hospital.

The post operates within a shift pattern, working between the hours of 8am - 6pm, and the post holder will be expected to work across all Theatre stores sites, as and when required.

The post holder will be responsible for the provision of a ‘top up service’ on which full training will be given. This will include ensuring the replenishment of stock items are ordered by maintaining correct stock levels to meet demand, stock level monitoring and taking receipt of deliveries and expediting any outstanding deliveries.

You should have experience of stock replenishment and/or working in a stores environment.

The Inventory Officer has overall responsible for the provision of inventory services (exc pharmacy) across Northumbria Healthcare Trust (NHCT). The Inventory Officer will ensure the reordering and replenishing of stock, taking receipt of deliveries, stock level monitoring, maintaining minimal stock levels, stock rotation and the tracking of stock across multiple sites. This post includes a large proportion of data entry ensuring accurate records of stock and regular stock takes to verify quantities on the held in the central store.
