Job description
Reed Finance are working with an established manufacturing company based in Gateshead who are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join the team.
As the Financial Controller you will be responsible for the efforts and results of the financial department. You will be part of the Senior Leadership Team reporting into Directors and Group Financial Controller in regard to all financial and accounting activities, overseeing financial department staff in day–to–day operations.
Key duties include:
- Manage the Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flows of the business
- Ownership of the Budget and Forecasting processes
- Provide analysis and insight on financial performance of the business
- Fully utilise the Business Central system to create in depth reports to drive business improvement
- Strive to develop and improve processes, identifying further opportunity for automation in the financial process
- Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported in line with policies, UK GAAP and government regulations and legislation
- Collaborate with auditing services
- Lead and develop the finance team members through performance management, providing regular feedback and coaching
- Direct point of contact for finance
