Are you looking for a new and exciting challenge with an award winning nursery? We are recruiting for an inspirational Head of Room to over see our 0-2’s age group.
At Key Steps we really do appreciate every member of staff and the contribution they make to our team. We will happily pay for you to complete a course or go to University. We regularly have outside training providers coming to the nursery to further train our wonderful team in a range of topics.
Key Steps Day Nursery in Cirencester is open 51 weeks of the year. We do in the moment planning and adapt to the needs of each and every child. Our large open plan rooms allow the children to independently develop at their own pace. The nursery has a very friendly and calm atmosphere, and all the toys and resources allow children to explore and nurture their natural curiosity.
As part of the package you will receive a minimum of 30 days holiday including bank holidays. The longer you work with us the more holiday you get !!

We are looking for an excellent team player who leads from the front. As the Head of Room you will have outstanding communication skills and will always strive for high standards. Our ideal candidate is someone who has an outstanding knowledge of early years pedagogy including in the moment planning and delivers it in a passionate manner. You will work closely with the management team to ensure all families are welcomed and that all children and staff reach their full potential.

What does a normal day look like:
Implement outstanding care and education in every aspect of the nursery
Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies, whilst adding value to children, parents and team
Motivate and develop a team of like minded individuals to deliver a stimulating environment for children
Support the manager and deputy in the supervision and coaching of a team of early years professionals
Deliver on the job training, guidance and support to the team
Build and maintain excellent relationships with parents
Work a flexible work pattern within the nursery opening hours and be responsible for opening or closing the nursery
What you will need to bring with you:
Significant experience as a Room leader, Early Years Practitioner or Nursery Nurse
A solution driven approach to problems and be highly motivated
Relevant Early Years Qualification, Level 3 or above
You always see the glass half full and go the extra mile in everything you do
Excellent communication and organisation skills
Extensive knowledge of Early Years practice and initiatives
