The Role
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about the learning and development market. This role will make you responsible for our group eLearning Content strategy, defining what eLearning our teams produce to meet the needs of our clients and driving adoption of technology to optimise our production pipeline. With a wide selection of eLearning titles across the Group and a strong market opportunity, you will own our future roadmap, steering the creation, management, and upkeep of our eLearning modules.
Reporting into the e-Learning MD, you’ll push our group eLearning content strategy to exceed client’s expectations and to help us position ourselves as market leaders in our fields. You’ll be supported by your Product Lead, manage two heads looking after our production team and work closely with our subject matter experts from across the Group.
With experts in lots of different knowledge areas, you’ll have all the ingredients you need to pull together a compelling content strategy and help us to deliver on a roadmap of best practice, legislative and sector-specific content.
Whilst this role is based in Bracknell with a focus on content consolidation with other Group businesses and continuing our servicing of the UK workplace eLearning space, the successful candidate will be expected to liaise and attend meetings regularly with colleagues in our Group offices both around the UK and potentially across the globe as we extend our e-Learning proposition in future years.
Responsibilities:
This includes, but is not limited to:
• Understand the eLearning market, ever-changing client expectations, legislative needs and eLearning product/content trends.
• Be responsible for owning and maintaining the Group's eLearning content strategy, taking into account the needs of clients and other Group businesses and evaluating progress against this at every stage.
• Work closely with the other Group business units including attending face-to-face meetings to fully understand their specific requirements.
• Liaise with individuals and teams in the Group currently responsible for content production and upkeep to ensure alignment with the Group's eLearning content strategy and roadmap.
• Take ownership of the content go-to-market proposition, both in terms of broad content themes, course bundling, industry wrappers and group-specific requirements.
• Define the goals for the content projects you are working on in line with priorities set by the Product Lead and eLearning MD.
• Liaise with key stakeholders including clients, service leads and the Head of Production to ensure goals and objectives are well understood.
• Define solutions by working with the production and content resources available to you within the business and third-party content providers.
• Provide bi-weekly reports on current progress against content strategy/roadmap and contribute to monthly trading meetings.
• Ensure that our eLearning content is fit for purpose and work with the eLearning Product Owner to ensure the platform meets the needs of the content strategy.
• Be accountable for reporting on eLearning content KPIs such as course usage and course performance (reviews).
• Ability to write clear briefs, functional documentation and communicate with internal and external content providers.
• Key stakeholder in working party and content review sessions,?approving?content changes,?and assuring quality standards through all stages of the content development lifecycle.
• Liaise closely with the Legal and Compliance Administrator and Group subject matter experts to ensure we have approvals from relevant parties.
• Work with the M&A team to establish a playbook for additional eLearning content surfaced through future business acquisitions.
• Work with your two direct reports to ensure that their teams are meeting KPIs such as course production volumes.
