Faststream are recruiting an experienced Crew Counselor for an award winning globally recognized cruise brand Are you a compassionate and experienced mental health professional looking for a unique opportunity to support the well-being of crew members on board a luxury cruise vessel? We are currently seeking a dedicated Crew Counsellor to join our team and provide confidential counseling services to our diverse crew community. As a Crew Counsellor, you will play a vital role in promoting the mental health and overall wellness of our crew members. Key Responsibilities: Provide confidential counseling services to crew members facing personal, emotional, or work-related concerns.; Conduct individual counseling sessions to assess needs, develop treatment plans, and offer ongoing support and guidance.; Facilitate support groups and workshops on topics such as stress management, conflict resolution, and cultural adjustment.; Collaborate with onboard medical staff, Human Resources, and other departments to ensure holistic care for crew members.; Maintain accurate and confidential records of counseling sessions in accordance with professional ethics and company policies.; Stay informed about mental health resources and best practices to enhance the effectiveness of counseling services.; Promote a positive and supportive work environment by fostering open communication and mutual respect among crew members.; Qualifications and Experience: Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.; Minimum of three years of experience providing counseling services in the field; Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds.; Sensitivity to cultural differences and awareness of the unique challenges faced by crew members working in a maritime environment.; Valid C1/D Visa (or ability to obtain); Valid STCW; An attractive rotation and benefits package is on offer, please contact me to find out more.Job tags
