Civil Engineer | Greater Manchester (Hybrid) | £35,000 to £45,000 per annum
A leading multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy are looking for a Civil Engineer to join their team in Greater Manchester. As a Civil Engineer, you will:
- Collaborate within the Civil's team to devise innovative solutions for various design projects.
- Embrace a proactive stance within a team-oriented environment, with ample room for career advancement within the organization.
- Engage in diverse Masterplanning and Infrastructure design initiatives, offering valuable experience and challenges.
Your key duties will be:
- Develop infrastructure designs and planning schemes from initial concepts to detailed plans, adhering to relevant standards.
- Create Masterplan concept drawings and general arrangements, ensuring compliance with applicable standards.
- Assist in drafting contract documents and specifications.
- Conduct inspections, surveys, and project site supervision, along with report preparation.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members.
- Manage small projects or project components efficiently within budget constraints.
- Tailor design solutions to meet clients' specific requirements.
- Contribute to the ongoing technical enhancement of the design team.
Criteria to apply for this Civil Engineer vacancy:
- Bachelor's degree (BSc/BEng) in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum three to five years of experience in infrastructure design.
- Proficiency in preparing detailed designs for infrastructure projects, including familiarity with the Section 278/38 agreement process.
- Knowledge of Section 104/106 water industry agreements.
- Familiarity with DCG, drainage standards, DMRB, Manual for Streets, and general Highway standards.
- Competence in MicroDrainage software.
- Ability to work with Civil 3D software, with room for development.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Team player mentality, contributing actively to group dynamics.
- Commercial awareness to ensure effective project management within budget parameters.
