Job description
Role Overview:
Responsible for assisting in the delivery of a portfolio of Hill Residential and Joint Venture Projects including the procurement of satisfactory detailed planning consents to an agreed programme in line with the business plan.
Support and assist with relevant legal, technical, and planning matters during the site procurement process and the project handover stages to the technical and construction teams.
Role Scope:
Assisting the development team in delivering a portfolio of projects in accordance with the business plan forecast.
Key Internal/External Relationships:
- Hill Land, Design, Technical, Construction, Sales, Communications, Estate Management and Legal Teams
- Local Authorities, Landowners, Affordable Providers, Promoters, Consultants, Banks, Parish and Borough Councils, Councillors and Local Action Groups, Joint Venture Partners.
Key Results Areas:
Quality
- Assist with the planning process on schemes acquired with or without a planning allocation or outline planning permission.
- Ensure projects progress as planned.
- Have an understanding of the Hill ethos and attitude to development.
- Assist in the fulfilment of S106 and CIL obligations.
Delivery
- Assist with the assessment of projects potential, undertaking due diligence.
- Assist in setting, managing, and reporting on individual planning programmes/ budgets.
- Assist in the handover of projects to legal, technical, construction and sales teams.
- Assist in the preparation and procurement of Affordable Housing contracts on specific projects.
Collaboration
- Able to communicate effectively with internal and external project team members.
- Able to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Be a key team player.
- Liaise with colleagues and external consultants to ensure all necessary planning / supporting information is provided to meet the agreed programmes.
Financial
- Assist in reporting on individual planning programmes.
- Assist in the preparation of development appraisals and cashflows.
- Assist with the management of budgets and invoicing.
- Assist with appointment of consultants and management of contracts .

- Assisting in the delivery of projects on programme and on budget.
- Assisting in increasing the financial performance of projects

Skills, Experience and Attributes:
The candidate will be a well-rounded individual with excellent communication and presentation skills. The candidate should have relevant work experience with a strong understanding of the planning process and has experience in undertaking development appraisals and managing consultant appointments and budgets.
