Mechanical Instructor
Salary: £37070 to £38637 dependant on experience
Location: Stallingborough
Working hours: Monday to Thursday 8:00am to 4:15pm and Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm
Benefits: 38 days annual leave including BH
Annual bonus payment dependent on organisational performance
Pension scheme which is 5% employee contribution and 7% company contribution
Life insurance (4 x annual salary)
Private health care (after a 3 month qualifying period).
Our client is a leading Engineering training association who is a rapidly expanding training company with training centres in Hull, Stallingborough and Scunthorpe. The business provides engineering apprentices and adult skills training for hundreds of companies in Yorkshire and Humberside area.
As a business they recruit industry specialists who want to make the career change to delivering training and skills.
They are now seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer who feels they have the right skills and attributes to pass on their knowledge and experience to the next generation of engineers. Some Process experience would be desirable but is not essential.
The successful candidate will work with our existing instructor teams delivering high quality apprenticeship training for our client companies and also deliver on our range of commercial courses.
THE ROLE:
The successful candidate will
Work with their existing instructor teams delivering high quality apprenticeship training for their client companies
Deliver on their range of commercial courses including, Mechanical planned and reactive maintenance, Lathe/Milling Machine operation, Safe use of Hand Tools, Hydraulics or Pneumatics, Health & Safety practices and procedures.
For the position of Mechanical Instructor your working hours Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 4.15pm and Friday 8.00am to 4.00pm. Your role will be based at our clients site in Stallingborough, however there will be flexibility required to go to other company sites and client company sites.
THE CANDIDATE:
Experience of:
Mechanical planned and reactive maintenance.
Lathe/Milling Machine operation.
Safe use of Hand Tools.
Hydraulics or Pneumatics.
Health & Safety practices and procedures.
A working knowledge of chemical process industry and/or CAD is desirable not essential.
The successful applicant also needs:
A minimum of Level 3 Engineering qualification
Good interpersonal and computer skills
Full Driving licence
Whilst assessor and teaching qualifications are desirable, they are not essential as full support will be given in the development of necessary skills.
