Job description
Our client is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Inventory Cost Analyst to join their Accounting & Finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analysing and reporting on inventory costs, providing insights that will support decision-making process.

Description
- Analyse and prepare reports on inventory costs and trends.
- Work closely with procurement and operations to understand cost drivers.
- Support the month-end closing process by preparing journal entries related to inventory.
- Participate in physical inventory counts and reconciliations.
- Assist in developing and implementing inventory control procedures.
- Participate in budget preparation and variance analysis.
- Provide recommendations to management based on cost analysis findings.
- Support audit processes by providing necessary inventory cost data.
Profile
A successful Inventory Cost Analyst should have:
- An educational background in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with inventory cost analysis in the Industrial / Manufacturing sector. (Beneficial)
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and report writing skills.
- An ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- AAT Qualified / Studier

- An estimated salary range of ££26000 - £30,000 Starting
