Job Description
As a Market Access Consultant, you will be expected to:
- Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify opportunities and challenges for client products in various healthcare markets.
- Develop and implement market access strategies, including pricing and reimbursement strategies, to optimize product commercialization.
- Systematically search for and synthesise disparate qualitative and quantitative evidence for interpretation with meaningful summaries driving strategic thinking for clients.
- Ensure timely availability of complex and/or simple clinical, economic models that meet the needs of payers as part of the wider HTA programme for clients.
- Perform 'what-if' modelling to help with product strategy/development decisions for client projects and provide guidance to individual markets with respect to model adaptation.
- Manage directly external vendors supporting any modelling work and be accountable for any development and validation work required.
- Write and develop Global Value Dossiers (GVDs) and Health Technology Assessment (HTA) submissions, Early Access Programme dossiers for EU markets.
- Support the preparation of client-facing presentations and reports, effectively communicating complex market access concepts to diverse audiences.
The Successful Applicant
To be a successful Market Access Consultant, you will have/be:
- A bachelors degree or higher in a scientific discipline and/or MSc in Health Economics or a related quantitative discipline, such as biostatistics or epidemiology.
- Significant client-facing experience in a Market Access Consultancy or a Market Access role within a Pharmaceutical Company.
- Experience in designing and developing health economic models and analysing patient level data for inclusion in HTA submissions.
- Demonstrated knowledge of global healthcare systems, reimbursement mechanisms, and market access strategies.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact confidently with clients and internal teams.
- Proven track record of successfully managing projects and delivering results within deadlines.
