Purpose of Role:

The Insider Threat Analyst leads on insider threat management.

The Insider Threat Analyst acts as a bridge between the People business partners, the People vetting and screening team, Security team and Security Operations, to make best use of our data and capabilities to identify potential financial fraud or impacts on game integrity, non compliance with security policies or other activity that might run counter to our License obligations, participants interests or Allwyn’s interests.

Team Description:

The Allwyn’s security team’s purpose is to protect the integrity of the National Lottery and to do so we work in a heavily regulated environment and have to secure one of the most visited websites in the UK, a very large retail channel and numerous back office systems spread across both on premise datacenters and in the cloud.

Key Accountabilities or Duties:

- Review alerts generated as part of insider threat tools

- Analysis of data to identify potential threats

- Investigation of potential threats

- Follow-up on signs of poor colleague security behaviors to help raise security awareness

- Development of new analytics and capabilities to help identify potential insider threats

Help to design and implement detective and protective controls including policies across technologies

Skills & Experience:  

- Understanding of the Data Protection Act and privacy considerations

- Robust judgment and integrity

- Excellent communication skills

- Advanced data analytical abilities

- Investigatory skills

- Passion for learning

- Experience working within an operational security and/or insider threat function

- Operating DLP monitoring, creating technical controls, playbooks and process documentation

- Experience using various security technologies during investigations is desirable

Information security qualifications or degrees desirable.

As part of our onboarding processes, all successful candidates will need to complete both a Pre-Employment Screening process and a Fit & Proper check by the Gambling Commission. These checks include a DBS (an enhanced check, which shows convictions and conditional cautions), credit and social media checks. As part of our application process, you will be asked to identify in advance if you have spent or unspent convictions that we need to be aware of.

Should you not disclose convictions at the application stage, not pass the Fit & Proper Check process or not complete your Pre-Employment Screening then unfortunately you may not pass our probation process.
