Your role
We are looking to appoint a positive, motivated and patient Additional Needs Support Assistant to provide one-to-one, one-to-two and small group support for pupils who require additional support in order to thrive and achieve their potential.
As an Additional Needs Support Assistant you will build positive relationships with individual pupils, allowing you to develop a good understanding of their needs and to support them consistently and effectively to manage and overcome challenges. You will provide essential support for them during learning time, both within and outside of the mainstream classroom, helping them with their learning and academic work. You will also support pupils through the provision of regular brain breaks, sensory activities and activities identified on Thrive profiles. In addition, you will help to support their social and emotional development during play and lunchtimes.
You will:
Experience of working within a school and of supporting children with additional and complex needs is desirable.
