Learning Support Assistant
Location: Solihull, B91
Days: 5 days, Monday - Friday, Term Time Only
Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm
Daily Rate: £90 - £110
Start Date: Monday 4th April 2024
Contract: Fixed Term until July 2024

Job Role: Provide support for students across all lessons, supporting key students with access to their OPPs to ensure they can access the school curriculum.
Role Responsibilities:
- Work 1:1 supporting a Year 10 student with ASD and challenging behaviour.
- Work with students in guidance with their Educational Heath Care Plan
- Promote academic progression, by working with the student away from the mainstream classroom (Learning Hub, Library etc)
- Develop a string relationship with the student, to help reduce anxiety and stress levels
- Being consistently sensitive of the students needs and dealing with safeguarding concerns and disclosures with respect and dignity
Candidate Requirements:
- Prior experience working with students diagnosed with high functioning ASD / Autism
- Strong communication skills, via clear, concise and effective means (verbal and non-verbal).
- Demonstrates patience, resilience and remains calm in difficult situations.
- Adaptable and flexible to support the individual needs of the student.
