Are you a design manager in the sprinkler system sector?  Would you like to work on large scale and well known projects while setting up and putting in place your own processes?

We are establishing an internal self-delivery sprinkler division so as Sprinkler Design Manager you will be responsible of all fire Suppression design elements in supporting the business on large / complex projects. This will be  a national role so you will have the opportunity to travel to different projects across the UK.

Responsibilities:

• Perform site surveys, complete progress reviews, mark up drawings and attend client design meetings as required.
• Preparation of sprinkler system designs for a variety of applications (Large works, small works, LPC Rules, NFPA, FM)
• Design responsibility throughout the project life.
• Production of technical documentation, installation drawings and coordination models.
• Production of hydraulic calculations.
• On-site surveying where necessary.
• Ensure compliance with the relevant design standards and project specifications.
• Specification of equipment.
• Preparation of certification and O&M documentation.
• Review meetings with the client.
• Coordination meetings with external subcontractors within multi-discipline design team.
• Liaison with suppliers

What do we ask for?

• Minimum of LPCB Basic design qualification.
• Knowledge of LPC sprinkler rules /  FM & NFPA standards would be an advantage.
• Relevant technical design experience and the preparation of technical documentation and drawings.
• Experience in the design of fire sprinkler systems.
• Knowledge of  AutoCAD, Revit and Canute FHC design software or another relevant design software.
• Fire Suppression Design knowledge utilising LPCB rules, NFPA and FM Global standards
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with business internal / external customers to drive customer satisfaction.
