Job Description
What will you be doing?
As a Senior Electronics Engineer , you will join Farnborough team to support our activities within the Oil and Gas sector.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Develop multi-channel impedance analyser
- Fluid capacitance: 100s of femtofarads to several nano-farad
- Measurement frequency: 5-60MHz
- Measure voltage and current over 60dB dynamic range
- Address parasitic coupling and high-temperature operation (up to 175°C)
- Initially focus on measurement, then extend to full temp specs and resolve packaging challenges
- Potential ASIC-based solution leveraging early work package technology
Who are we looking for?
- Experience in analog block design: Versatile analog circuitry encompassing amplifiers, mixers, drivers, power units, mixed analog/digital setups, and basic building blocks.
- Strong understanding of signals in the 5-50MHz frequency range
- Experience in design practices to minimize device mismatch, noise, signal and parasitic coupling, and ESD
- Knowledgeable in signal processing in both analog and digital domains
- Skilled in schematic-level design and either layout experience or guiding PCB layout for parasitic requirements
- Experience with EM modeling tools like COMSOL or FEMM is beneficial but not essential.
