Job Description
Working hours are Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm.
The purpose of the role is to manage strategic projects from conception to completion, including supporting the acquisition and integration requirements of newly acquired businesses.
You will work with key stakeholders to create robust project plans, overseeing effective project delivery and managing key stakeholders to create best in class solutions that deliver long term value to the business.
- Coordinate/lead post-acquisition business integration processes.
- Work alongside senior managers and business unit managers to ensure strategic projects are delivered in a timely manner, this may include items such as
- Key projects linked to complex capital spend,
- site re-location,
- automation
- U.K. wide OPEX/standardisation and
- major business re-positioning/closures.
- Build effective financial business cases for the above - approval including all follow-on MD memos/approval steps, tender processes, and project planning if/when needed.
- Coordinate project resource and local leadership/contractor project management to ensure successful delivery to agreed timescales, costs and ROI.
- Effectively collaborate with other functions/broader Eurofins Group stakeholders in the delivery of strategic projects / integrations.
- Develop and maintain project charters, plans, action/decision logs, risk registers and other relevant project management documents.
- Work with the Continuous Improvement Manager to ensure our change management process is adhered to.
- Report to the UK Food & Water board / senior managers on progress of key initiatives and new projects added to the pipeline.
- Prepare update reports/presentations for the board, providing concise updates including risks and mitigations as required.
- Organise and chair meetings, both web based and face to face, preparing and distributing meeting agendas and minutes as appropriate.
- Develop deep and collaborative relationships with the operational cluster directors/senior managers in developing business cases for strategic initiatives and obtaining buy in for change.
- Ensure that strategic projects incorporate best practice Health and Safety standards and carefully balance cost with optimal solutions that meet the legislative requirements and Group standards on associated projects.
- Support customer engagement as required by Commercial Director, particularly on integration projects but also in messaging/promotion of Eurofins work as part of strategic initiatives.
- Lead according to Eurofins Leadership Charter and act as a role model for all employees
Qualifications
- Project management experience with proven track record of project delivery.
- Experienced in business planning and strategic plan creation and delivery.
- Excel proficient to support project management skills.
- Proven ability to develop and motivate key stakeholders to drive their project plans.
- Ability to lead projects and delegate / manage tasks.
- Ability to communicate fluently – written and verbal - at varying levels of seniority and remain confident engaging at various levels in a style that ensures a clear insight for stakeholders regarding project goals and progress.
- Has ‘presence’, and willing to present to employees and senior directors, if & when needed.
- Organised, able to prioritise and delegate to ensure focus on key deliverables.
- Team player, with good level of emotional intelligence to engage peers and build strong working relationships.
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude, able to work unsupervised
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Previous experience of managing complex acquisition integrations
- Degree or equivalent experience
- Project Management or similar
