To fortify our position as a leader in the industry, we are actively seeking a talented individual to join us as a "Managed Security Specialist" to contribute to the growth of our Managed Security Portfolio.
Reporting to the Head of Managed Security Solutions within the Solutions Team, the Managed Security Specialist will play a pivotal role in ensuring both the commercial and reputational success of our Managed Security Services portfolio. This role is essential for enhancing the profitability of these services and expanding their penetration into our customer base.
To achieve this, the Managed Security Specialist will:
- Understand the Phoenix Managed Securit y offerings, how they are delivered and their individual benefits .
- Be able to contribute to and l ead service introduction calls with potential client s. Act as a technical specialist sales resource, working with customer account manager s .
- Support in creat ing bespoke campaigns as a business enabler both externally with marketing and internally with the sales teams .
- Assist Account Managers and Business Development Managers by creat ing high-quality and competitive proposals for managed Security services.
- Provide subject matter expert input to tender or competitive situations to ensure Phoenix win contracts that both are profitable and the right solution for our clients .
- Establishing a relationship with our dedicated sales teams - the aim is to work closely to drive and sustain the consistent growth Managed Security offerings.
- Have input and actively support the accuracy of forecast and future pipeline of our managed security offerings .
- Be a n active part in enabling sales teams to highlight the value points of our services to help them open opportunities within our clients.
- Input to our service CSI (Continual Service Improvement) with feedback from client calls
- Act as a technical specialist sales resource, working with account manager and customers to educate and sell to them based on value
- Be actively involved in tender bid response writing in collaboration with relevant teams
Key responsibilities
- To carry a target and work towards key goals within a team
- W ork with the service delivery team to understand the ir operations and process es to be able to support client conversations .
- Being a part of the sales process of managed security services
- Ensure all sales leads/opportunities are tracked and managed via our CRM system
- Working with Account managers and Business development managers to keep the pipeline up to date.
- Keep abreast with the current security landscape and understand how this can affect our client sectors
- Be available for questions from sales teams regarding opportunities .
- Input to service descriptions and future service elements.
- Present and demo our solutions to potential clients .
- Presenting in enablement sessions for our internal sales teams
- Preparing high-quality sales proposals as a follow-up to calls with clients .
- Support objectives as defined in the company’s information security policy .
- Perform your tasks in support of data and information security .

The ideal candidate will possess:
- An understanding of the m anaged security s ervices industry today .
- A genuine interest in cybersecurity and threat landscape.
- A n IT techn ical knowledge sufficient to understand and articulate both the services that P hoenix delivers , but also the services our competitors deliver .
- A general understanding of the current trends within cyber security , both around the drivers' organisations have for new technology adoption to solve problems and achieve strategy and their strategies for the delivery of internal services .
- The ability to i dentify and maximise opportunities for cross selling and up-selling across our complete services portfolio .

- Confident presenter both in person and over Teams
- The ability to get a message across to both a technical and non technical audience
- Understanding of Managed Services
- SIEM experience, sales or pre sales
- Ability to understand new technology
- Prioritise effectively, balancing your time between direct customer activities and internal managed service-focused activities
- See tasks through to completion and within agreed timescales
- Create concise and accurate email communications
- The ability to see the bigger holistic view whilst having attention to detail.
