Position: Optometrist
Location: Aberdare, South West Wales
Salary: Up to £65,000 depending on experience plus lucrative bonus scheme
Working hours: Full or part-time working patterns considered
Experience level: Open to both newly qualified and experienced Optometrists who are registered with the GOC
Specsavers in Aberdare are looking for a new Optometrist. On the back of substantial and on-going growth, we’re seeking a qualified and GOC registered Optometrist to join our dynamic team at Specsavers in Aberdare. Known as ‘Brenhines y Bryniau’ or ‘Queen of the Hills’ , during the 19th century, Aberdare and the surrounding Cynon Valley were the cultural hub of the South Wales Valleys. What we’re looking for
You’ll need to be a qualified and GOC registered Optometrist with the drive, passion and the willingness to build upon our customer-focused culture. As part of our team, you’ll need to be able to provide a unique blend of customer care and professional excellence. You’ll need to demonstrate good attention to detail along with a passion for the community. Teamwork also forms a big part of our culture, so the ability to work well with others is essential.
Location
Aberdare is a busy town, populated by quaint cafes, restaurants, pubs, and bars. Not short of a ‘Bracchi’ (Welsh Italian cafe) or two, culture and history is evident around the town.
The Cynon Valley has many opportunities for outdoor exploration, with some beautiful walks, stunning viewpoints and exciting activities for visitors of all ages. Aberdare is a beautiful town in which to live and work.
Aberdare is less than 25 miles from Cardiff; and 40 miles from Bristol; both cities having international airports. Regular bus and trains service the area too.
