Statutory Accountant - Remote - £200 - £300 - 3/6-month contract
I am currently recruiting for a leading business who require a Statutory Accountant to cover for a busy period. The roles is 100% remote and ideally the candidate will have an ACA qualification.
1) Managing Accounting Close & Analysis for CALA region:
- Work as a team on sharing the workload of full set accounting ledgers for CALA region, including month end closing, all Balance Sheet accounts reconciliations, Q&A schedules, indirect tax, withholding tax and sales & Margin/P/L accounts/variance analysis, ARCS Reconciliation, flux & trending
- Maintain both US GAAP book using ERP System and perform US GAAP book to Statutory book reconciliations
- Raise intercompany billings to various affiliates based on group transfer pricing agreements on a monthly basis
2) Vendor payment & treasury support
- Review vendor invoices as well as payment request received from vendors or local country bookkeeper and work with Treasury on initiating payment request in Citibank portal on a timely basis.
3) Statutory reporting support
- Particiapte & assist EMEA GL team on statutory audits, annual filings, tax filings, other statistical filings as required by local authorities
Preferred Qualifications
- Accounting qualification
- Audit background
- Commercial accounting experience
- Software skills - Proficiency in Excel & Word. Proficiency using Peoplesoft would be desirable but is not essential
- Ability to communicate at the appropriate level when dealing with different groups
- Able to work autonomously and plan/manage own workload to meet deadlines
- Team player
