Job description
We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Neighbourhood Officer on a full-time, hybrid basis until at least the end of June 2024. You will be responsible for the property and tenancy management of an allocated portfolio of housing stock owned by our client within Liverpool.
Key responsibilities:
- Overseeing the general day-to-day property and tenancy management of assigned property portfolio
- Liaising with tenants via telephone, email, letter or face to face in relation to their property/tenancy and arranging tenancy audits/inspections.
- Conducting property inspections of properties both inside and outside, ensuring any required repair or maintenance work is reported, including any decants for the safety of household members
- Discharge all legal, regulatory and insurance duties in relation to your property portfolio
- Visiting tenants in their homes, reviewing/updating risk assessments and signposting to external agencies, raising any safeguarding concerns via the appropriate route
- Liaising with the Income Team and keeping on top of customers' rent accounts, signposting those who have fallen into arrears to appropriate debt/money management agencies
- Carrying out accompanied viewings with prospective new tenants
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience of managing housing stock, with a good knowledge of housing legislation
- Ability to manage professional relationships with tenants, including challenging non-compliance
- Knowledge of social, environmental and economic context of your property portfolio
- Good knowledge of safeguarding adults and children, and legislations surrounding safeguarding
- Driving licence with access to your own vehicle
What you'll get in return
- Weekly pay
- Hourly rate up to £20.50 per hour with option to be paid via PAYE or Umbrella
- Ongoing temp contract until at least end of June 2024
- Mileage paid (45p per mile from office when visiting tenants\' homes)
