We have an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified Trainee Arborist to join our established Arb Rail team across the team across the Western and Wessex regions covering Cornwall Devon and Somerset. You will work in a team that is responsible for all aspects of arboriculture work along Rail and independent client sites including felling pruning crown lifting reduction thinning and maintenance duties such as strimming and enabling works for future inspections of assets.

For this position you will ideally have some work experience in tree works and climbing via your studies. You will also need to be an accomplished climber and able to adhere to strict health and safety procedures whilst working to tight deadlines. As part of the team we will invest in you and work together through development and upskilling where needed in the future

This role does involve an element of travelling but this will be paid by the company.

Who were looking for:

To be successful in this role you will to have completed a level 2 or 3 Technical certificate in Arboriculture or an Arborist apprenticeship. Youll need recent climbing experience alongside a dedicated cando attitude. You will be able to use your own initiative and collaborate in a wider team to complete works safely on time and to the highest possible standard. With contracts spanning the region you must be willing to travel when required.

• CS30 Maintain The Chainsaw
• CS31 Fell Small Trees
• CS38 Climb Trees & Perform Aerial Rescue
• CS39 Operate The Chainsaw from a Rope and Harness
• NPTC Brush cutter
• NPTC Hedge trimmer
• PTS ticket but we can train you on this as part of your induction plan
